The 8414NL from EBM-Papst is a compact DC axial fan with a flanged housing, measuring 80 × 80 × 25 mm. The fan is designed for 24 V DC with a wide voltage range of 18–28 V, making it flexible for many applications. With its quiet ball bearing and a sound level of only 14 dB(A), it is ideal where acoustic comfort is important.
The fan is well-suited for cooling electronics, control equipment, and smaller devices in industrial and OEM contexts. Optional mounting position and a 310 mm connection cable facilitate installation in confined spaces.

| Motor frame | The fan measures 80 × 80 × 25.4 mm and weighs 0.095 kg. The housing is made of plastic. ISO 4762 - M4 mounting screws are used without a washer and without additional support. The maximum tightening torque varies depending on the corner: 50 Ncm at the cable exit corner and 70 Ncm at the other corners. |
| Casing | plastic, square |
| Impeller | The impeller is made of plastic and rotates counter-clockwise when viewed from the rotor side. The airflow is directed outwards over the struts. At a nominal speed of 1500 rpm, the impeller provides a maximum free airflow of 30 m³/h and a maximum static pressure of 10 Pa. |
| Bearing type | ball bearing |
| Rotation direction | counter-clockwise |
| Motor type | The motor is a DC motor with a nominal voltage of 24 V and a voltage range of 18–28 V. The power consumption at free airflow is 0.7 W and the current consumption is 30 mA. The motor has built-in reverse polarity protection via a rectifier diode and automatic restart in case of a locked rotor. Protection class III according to electrical safety standards. |
