The 712F from EBM-Papst is a compact DC axial fan with a wall ring, designed for reliable cooling and ventilation in confined spaces. Measuring 70 × 70 × 15 mm, the fan is powered by 12 V DC with a voltage range of 8–13.8 V. It is ideal for electronic equipment, industrial automation, and appliance cooling where space is limited.
Thanks to its optional mounting position and 310 mm long connecting cable, the 712F is easy to integrate into existing designs. The motor has built-in protection against reverse polarity and automatic restart in case of a locked rotor, providing extra operational reliability.

Technical specifications
| Product attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Airflow at 0 Pa | 43 m³/h |
| Speed | 5300 rpm |
| Power | 1.7 W |
| Voltage | 12 V DC VAC |
| Motor frame | The mounting holes are dimensioned for ISO 4762 M4 screws without washers or additional support. The maximum tightening torque when mounting across both flanges varies depending on the corner: 70 Ncm at the cable outlet corner and 90 Ncm for other corners. The mounting position for the shaft is optional. |
| Casing | plastic, square |
| Impeller | The impeller is made of plastic and is mounted in a plastic housing measuring 70 × 70 × 15 mm. At a nominal speed of 5,300 rpm, the fan delivers a maximum free air flow of 43 m³/h and a maximum static pressure of 72 Pa. The airflow is directed outwards over the struts. |
| Bearing type | plain bearing |
| Rotation direction | counter-clockwise |
| Motor type | The motor is a DC motor with a nominal voltage of 12 V and a voltage range of 8–13.8 V. It has built-in reverse polarity protection via a rectifier diode and automatic restart in case of locked rotor. The motor shaft can be mounted horizontally and the direction of rotation, viewed towards the rotor, is counter-clockwise. The power consumption at free airflow is nominally 1.7 W. |
