The 8412NG from EBM-Papst is a compact axial fan with a wall ring for direct current, in a 80 × 80 × 25 mm format. It is powered by a brushless DC motor with a nominal voltage of 12 V and a wide voltage range of 8–15 V. The fan is ideal for electronics, control cabinets, and cooling systems where space is limited but performance is critical.
With an airflow of 65 m³/h, a maximum static pressure of 43 Pa, and a noise level of just 32 dB(A), it delivers efficient cooling without unnecessary noise. The motor has built-in locked-rotor protection with automatic restart, as well as reverse polarity protection.

Technical specifications
| Product attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Airflow at 0 Pa | 65 m³/h |
| Speed | 3100 rpm |
| Power | 2 W |
| Voltage | 12 V DC VAC |
| Motor frame | The casing is square and made of plastic, with dimensions of 80 × 80 × 25.4 mm and a mass of 0.095 kg. Mounting is done with degreased ISO 4762 M4 screws without washers. Permissible torque varies depending on the corner: 50 Ncm at the cable outlet corner and 70 Ncm at the other corners. |
| Casing | plastic, square |
| Impeller | The fan impeller is made of plastic and rotates counter-clockwise when viewed from the rotor side. Airflow is directed out over the struts. At nominal operating conditions (3100 rpm, free airflow), the fan delivers up to 65 m³/h and a maximum static pressure of 43 Pa. |
| Bearing type | plain bearing |
| Rotation direction | counter-clockwise |
| Motor type | The motor is a brush-less DC motor designed for 12 V nominal voltage with a voltage range of 8–15 V. At nominal voltage, the motor consumes 2 W and draws 170 mA. The motor has built-in protection against locked rotor with automatic restart, and reverse polarity protection via a rectifier diode. |
